Extra Competition Training

There are two big fencing events over the next couple of weeks, namely The Birmingham International Fencing Tournament (Easter Sat & Sun) and the British Youth Championships (May bank holiday weekend).

We are aware that there are only a few clubs open in the run up to these competitions, so we have arranged for an extra training session specifically for those doing competitions over the next few weeks.

Venue: Main School Hall, Woodrush Community High School, Shawhurst Lane, Wythall, Birmingham, B47 5JW (Map here)

Date: Wednesday 20th April 2011

Time: Between 8pm-10pm - Come along when you want for as long as you want.

Cost: £5 per fencer to cover hall hire only

All Coaches:
You are very welcome to bring along any of your fencers who you would like to give some last minute or extra training. We're just providing the venue.
There will be four coaches from Cocks Moors Woods on hand to assist where necessary and there will be 6 sets of spools and electric boxes. We will also have some fencing kit - jackets, plastrons, masks, weapons, etc...

Armourer:
Roger Simmonds has kindly agreed to be available to check/repair equipment. The checking is free of charge and he will only need to cover the cost of any replacement parts. Dont forget to bring your secondary/backup swords and wires for checking too.

If you know of someone who may benefit from this extra session, please pass this email on to them. Let me know if you have any questions.

PS - If there is enough demand, I can try to arrange another session for 27th April.
